2. Who is my Insurance with?
This insurance is arranged and administered by Captain Cover with Bastion Insurance Services Ltd and underwritten by Inter Partner Assistance SA UK Branch (IPA) which is fully owned by the AXA Partners Group. Captain Cover is a trading name of Lexelle Ltd. Lexelle Ltd and Bastion Insurance Services Ltd are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

3. Renewal of your policy
Captain Cover will contact you 30 days before your policy is due to expire. This will give you the opportunity to renew your policy with the Captain if you wish to do so and you still meet all the terms and conditions of the policy.

4. What range of products do we offer on the Captain Cover website?
Captain Cover is an insurance broker and the Captain Cover website offers a limited range of insurance products provided by Bastion Insurance Services Limited and underwritten by Inter Partner Assistance SA UK Branch. Inter Partner Assistance SA UK Branch is a Belgian firm authorised by the National Bank of Belgium and subject to limited regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority. FCA register number: 202664.
5. What services will we provide you with?
We do not offer advice. Instead, we make available a limited range of insurance products for you to choose from. To assist you in your choice we will provide you with a quotation for the cover you require, based on the details you have provided, together with comprehensive information to allow you to make an informed decision.
Full policy terms and conditions and a summary of terms is provided on the website for all available products and we strongly advise that you read these before deciding to make a purchase through the Captain Cover website.
We act as agent of the insurer for placing the insurance and in the event of a claim full contact details are provided for each product both on the website and in the policy summary and terms and conditions provided.
6. Will I have to pay any arrangement fees when purchasing a policy on the Captain Cover website?
No additional fees will be payable for the arrangement of any policy that is purchased from the Captain Cover website.
7. If I choose to pay monthly will I have to pay any fees or interest charges?
All Captain Cover products can be paid for on an annual or monthly Direct Debit basis.
If you choose to pay monthly no interest is charged for using this facility (0% APR) and no additional transaction fees are charged. Captain Cover does not take any income from interest charges; our commission is taken from the premium you pay. Your Direct Debit agreement will be set up and administered by Bastion Insurance Services Ltd.
To be eligible for the monthly payment option, you must be resident in the UK , aged 18 years or over and hold a bank or building society account which can support Direct Debit payments.
8. What to do if you have a complaint
If you feel that we have not provided the service you expected we want to hear about it so we can try to put things right. If you have cause for complaint it is important you know that we are committed to providing you with an exceptional level of service and customer care.

9. Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme?
All Captain Cover policies are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
This is the body established to operate and administer the compensation scheme, set up by major insurance companies, to compensate consumers when authorised firms are unable, or likely to be unable, to satisfy claims against them.
Most insurance contracts are covered for 90% of the claim with no upper limit. Insurance advice and arranging insurance will also be covered up to 90% with no upper limit
10. Duty of Disclosure
Please be aware that the information provided by you when purchasing a Captain Cover policy forms the basis of a legal contract between you and the insurer. It is therefore important that all information provided by you is true, accurate and complete.
Any omission, misrepresentation or failure to disclose an important change of circumstance could invalidate your insurance cover and could mean that a claim may not be paid.
11. Data Protection
You have input personal data on the Captain Cover website as part of our insurance application process.
We will only use your information on the basis that it is necessary to administer your insurance contract or help you make a claim. Where we need to pass information to other firms, it will only be for that purpose. These firms will be Insurers, other insurance brokers, and firms handling claims. It includes finance providers and firms that process or administer our policies and records.
When you take out a policy on the Captain Cover website, your policy details will be passed to Bastion Insurance Services Ltd. They are the appointed administrators of the Captain Cover Gadget Scheme.
When we contact you, it will either be for the above reason, or because we have a legitimate interest in marketing related products. For any other marketing it will only be with your consent and you will be able to withdraw your consent or unsubscribe easily at any time.
If we have to transfer information to a third country outside the EU, we will only do so if a similar level of protection applies. If we need to obtain information which is by nature sensitive, we will only do so on the basis that it is in the public interest – for example to fight crime, prevent fraud or to make sure insurance is available.
What are my legal rights regarding use of my personal data?

- You can obtain a copy of your personal information from us without charge by contacting us at the address above. This may include the right to transfer information to other providers.
- You have the right to ask us to correct information.
- You have the right to ask us to delete your information or stop using it, unless it is necessary for us to retain it for insurance or financial purposes as set out in our document retention policy.
- You may have the right to object if decisions about you are made solely by a computer.
